World's first 256 GB USB Flash drive

Kingston has revealed the world's first 256 gigabyte USB flash drive, the DataTraveler 300.

Offering a capacity equal to 54 DVDs or 365 CDs, the DataTraveler 300 is a convenient method of storing large amounts of data without the need for large external hard drives and a mass of wires.

Files can be written to the flash drive at a rate of 20 megabytes per second (MB/sec) and read at 10MB/sec, allowing for access to files and applications straight from the USB stick.

Packaged in a durable yet lightweight shell, the DataTraveler 300 features a retractable USB connector and a reinforced key ring hole.

Users storing sensitive or vital data can also use Password Traveller software for Windows alongside Vista ReadyBoost to ensure protection of key files.

The DataTraveler offers plug-and-play connectivity via USB 1.1 or 2.0 and comes with a five-year warranty.

Up to 90% of the drives content can be password protected and conveniently accessed due to the new Password Traveler software. No administrator rights are required. Fast transfer speeds guarantee smooth data flow to your host device.

As always, cutting edge tech isn’t cheap: the “Buy” links in Kingston’s website all come up empty, so its quite probable that the Data Traveler 300 is not available yet, but Hardware Sphere and Gizmodo both claim that the flash disk will sell for about $900 (USD). For comparison’s sake, you can get a 320 GB external hard drive for about $70. Even Western Digital’s 4 TB My Book external hard drive is much cheaper at $700. But I guess there are people who are willing to pay for the small form factor.

World's Fastest Computer Gets Underway

A supercomputer named Novo-G described by its lead designer as likely the most powerful computer of its kind in the world became operational this week at the University of Florida.

Novo-G gets the first part of its name from the Latin term for “make anew, change, alter,” and the second from “G” for “genesis.” A “reconfigurable” computer, it can rearrange its internal circuitry to suit the task at hand. Applications range from space satellites to research supercomputers — anywhere size, energy and high speed are important, said Alan George, professor of electrical and computer engineering and director of UF’s National Science Foundation Center for High-Performance Reconfigurable Computing.

Traditional computers use so-called “fixed logic devices” to perform a large variety of tasks. But this jack-of-all-trades approach requires a substantial amount of overhead in space and energy, no matter what work needs to be done. On the other hand, special-purpose computers can be built to perform certain tasks very well but are not flexible.

Reconfigurable computers make the best of both worlds, George said. That is because they can rearrange their internal circuitry like Lego blocks, creating the most appropriate architecture for each assignment. As a result, a reconfigurable computer can be from 10 to 100 times faster than other computers its size while using five to 10 times less energy.

Although the concept has been proven, reconfigurable computers remain at the research stage and are not easy to use. One of the main goals of the NSF Center is to pioneer techniques to make reconfigurable computers more accessible.

“It is very powerful technology, but it is also very complicated technology,” George said. “We don’t want this important technology to be accessible only to experts.”

UF has three partner universities in its reconfigurable computing center — Brigham Young University, George Washington University and Virginia Tech — as well as about 30 industry and government partners. The center was founded in 2007.

Till now I haven't gotten pictures of this thing but I will soon get my hands on it.

To sum up. This Florida people are making the world's fastest computer and one of it is already on the run. Next, this thing is damn fast. Our Jukeboxes would not stand a chance even if you think of increasing the RAM and all those upgrades available because if you would get a hand on it, then Floridans would already hire you and you would be in a Limo right now.

This guys also want to make it available to common people, thats us though, what the..what are they??

This beauty has some transformers kind of reconfiguring capability which I thought that there was nothing on earth that complex.

In short I didn't understand it too much but thats the fastest computer we mere earthling's have got right now.

Long Time No See!!

Guys, its been a long time that I have kept myslef aloof from the blogosphere now. But I am kinda back with a zeal because I am back with a plan and something interesting that has amazed me a lot. This year is so special guys and with Terminator 4 and Transformers 2 release just not very few days ago, everything's on the run except that Terminator was a little dissapointing than Transformers, which I enjoyed watching. There is also a game now on the markets on the Transformers Movie. LOL. Those guys behind must be really crazy for publicising their Movie after all the huge budget behind it. LOL. I was off to make my career, so I was a little busy in studies and these books, they really don't permit time to blog, do they? Time is over and I am back free. And I also have some good news for you and for me. Well thats a suspense first Ok. Lets make things a little cheesier. I don't really know whats up in the blogosphere now. I will have to make a new start now. Darn my text books, they put pressure on me and here I am. All those things are gone from my head now. Alexa hasn't changed, Technorati is still there, oh yes, and I forgot to mention that I had to increase my PR which I think is still Zero. Gotta join Blog Networks, write interesting content, exchange links and blah blah. I am soon going to make a list very soon.
So there's it. This months' plan. Do all requisite things to go make my blog better. And can't afford to forget about the pinging thing and RSS.
Ya, I promised a surprise at the beginning. LOL.
Got My first payment from neobux at lightning speed. They really do pay. You click the payout button. And refresh your paypal account and there's it.

Why I chose Blogger?

Today My Blog Setup is the topic of discussion.
In today's discussion I will tell you to set up a blog at no cost whatsoever. You must be interested, just read on!
I shall reveal how to make the perfect blog, how to make it search engine friendly i.e. How to get indexed on the search engines, and how to popularize your blog.

OK, here is the main story.
Blogger.com is the website we are looking forward to in this topic because it seems to work a lot better than other websites that offer setting up a blog, you can also try Wordpress.com but since blogger.com is owned by google, it is indexed on the google search faster and I would be apprehensive of the fact.

Now, why choose Blogger.

Blogger is completely free.

Blogger is infinitely expandable and even wordpress is; there is no restriction to the number of blogs you can have or the number of pictures you can insert in your posts.

Blogger is the easiest. Many tools and widgets are preloaded and Advertising, push-button publishing, Blogger gets you up and posting faster than any other service.

Do not think that I am brain-washing you into using blogger for your blog. I am just recommending you because it is the easiest. And it has disadvantages too, infact many of them.
Tell me that you did not have to fight when adding sidebar content and I will close this blog.

First to make a blog in blogger, you need to have an account and if you are a gmail user, you do not have to make an account even, did I mention making an account at blogger was free, quite obvious, everyone knows.
Now I leave it to you to go to blogger.com and make an account and publish your blog. Ok I am kidding, lets see the basics first, even if you know how to setup, I will go and explain everything in details.

1. Open the blogger home page. Click the
Create Your Blog Now button.

2. Then fill in all the relevant details they ask for and hit the
Continue button.

3. Fill in the desired name and address for the blog.

4. Enter the word verification, which is mandatory and a common thing now, and click the
Continue button again.

5. Select your template by clicking on the radio button below it.

6. Click
Continue and you are done with making your blog at blogger.

This is how you make a blog at blogger. These are just the basic steps that I have enumerated and believe me there is lot more to be known and you should be ready to accept it and read the important steps involved rather than putting emphasis on basics.
This includes-
1. The Correct Settings For Your Blog.
2. The Proper Indexing Of Your Blog.
3. Getting it Google Verified.
4. Submitting it to search engines
5. Having an RSS Feed To Your Blog.
6. Promoting Strategies.
7. The Correct Keywords used.
8. SEO(Search Engine Optimizaton-Onpage and Offpage) Strategies.
9. Pinging It.
10.Some Do's and Dont's and of course-
A lot of tricks you should know about monetizing your blog.
Till then stay happy,

Until Next Time,Admin-your friend.
